324, 334, 344, 374 Series Pull Action Latch Clamps

Destaco 324, 334, 344, 374 Series pull action latch clamps offer a stationary alternative to removable C clamps or spring clamps when securing material to a work surface. These clamps mount to work surfaces and hold workpieces in place using a lever handle that is pushed to the upright position when the clamp is engaged. Selected models come equipped with the Toggle Lock Plus safety feature to ensure that the over centre locking condition is maintained and protected against unintentional opening. These units are also supplied with a latch plate and a thumb control lever for easy one-handed operation. Destaco 324, 334, 344, 374 pull action latch clamps incorporate a fixed design that allows users to secure and loosen material without moving the placement of the clamp itself. These pull action latch clamps apply force in straight line direction that allows the unit to toggle in the forward and rear position. This is particularly useful in situations where the operator occasionally requires the clamp, rather than to push forward and apply the force, to pull forward and apply the force. These closing clamps work similarly to the latch on fishing tackle boxes. They are equipped with a handle that is appropriately aligned with the opposing latch. The handle can be pulled back down into the locking position, making it ideal for closing objects such as mold closures and latching doors. These Destaco clamps are available in stainless steel construction to resist corrosion & offer structural rigidity. To order these versions, simply add -SS suffix to the Series or model number which you want to purchase (For example: 324-SS, 334-SS or 334-RSS).
Destaco offers these clamps with longer hooks (models ending with -M-25, -M-50 or -M-100) that are 25, 50 or 100 mm longer than the standard length.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do latch clamps work?

These vertical handle toggle clamps depend on 3 main components - a handle for operating the tool, a clamping arm for contact point between the work item & clamp, and a base for attaching the clamp to the surface. Once the simple linkage system of the clamp is put in the over-centre position, the handle is pulled horizontally for creating force parallel to the base and squeeze-holding the work items.

What is jaw opening?

The jaw opening is the degree of how far the mouth of the jaws of a toggle clamp can open. This indicates its maximum capacity. Destaco 5110 Series vertical handle toggle clamps feature an opening angle of 138 degrees.

What does clamping pressure mean?

The holding power of a toggle clamp is a crucial factor to take into account before starting an application. The operator has to place the right amount of pressure on the workpiece while clamping. We suggest not to exceed the recommended pressure because it may tremendously damage your workpiece. In addition, too little weight is also not ideal.
