Destaco 374-M-50 pull action latch clamp is designed for performing latching operations on doors, moulds, access covers, lids, vessels, containers & drums. This vertical pull action latch clamp is ideal for holding down workpieces in food & packaging, automotive & aerospace facilities. It has an insulated, easy to hold plastic grip for minimising user fatigue over prolonged use. Destaco vertical pull action latch clamp features carbon steel construction that resists bending / breaking under heavy loads while minimising wear against highly abrasive environments. It features a patented thumb control lever that enables one handed operation for user convenience. It has threaded U hooks for ensuring easy material adjustment (depending upon the workpiece size). Its flanged base features two pairs of mounting holes for ensuring quick & easy installation on a flat surface / workbench. It can easily be uninstalled by just unscrewing 4 screws on its flanged base using a screwdriver. Destaco 374 Series latch clamps are available in varied hook sizes on Raptor Supplies.
Destaco 374-M-50 vertical pull action latch clamp is designed for performing latching operations on doors, moulds, access covers, lids, vessels, containers & drums.
A. Destaco pull action latch clamps have horizontally positioned handles having a vertical U hook design, which makes them suitable for latching applications on lids, doors, drums, vessels, containers & access covers, as well as assembly & moulding operations.
A. Certain U hook style latch clamps (like Destaco 374-M-50 vertical pull action clamp) feature a long U hook that is manually fastened using a handle. A locking assembly is also screwed onto the workpiece to hold the clamp's U hook, thereby keeping tension between the clamp & workpiece for ensuring secure clamping.
A. Destaco also offers a wide range of vertical handle toggle clamps in a range of configurations & styles and constructions (stainless steel & zinc plated carbon steel).
A. Yes, in addition to Destaco 374-M-50 carbon steel latch clamp, the brand also supplies stainless steel latch clamps (Destaco 334-SS & Destaco 344-SS).
A. The holding capacity or the holding force depicts the clamp's capability to hold down equipment or sheet metal on the assembly line or during similar manufacturing processes.
A. Whenever you're dealing with the brand's mechanical clamps, it is recommended to use a coupling grease like Mobil XTC.
A. The coloured handles have no such significance, except to denote a recognisable area. This is done to alert the operator about the location of the operating handle and where & when should he grab it.
A. Clamping force is the amount of force actually applied to a workpiece by closing & locking the clamp. It is normally less than the stated holding capacity. The actual clamping force depends on various factors, such as cylinder bore, cylinder area, spindle position (clamping arm length) and available air pressure. In most cases, the clamping force is approximately 2 to 3 times the force exerted by a pneumatic cylinder.
A. Yes, carbon steel clamps from Destaco are zinc plated for withstanding & minimising wear against harsh industrial environments. For applications that require clamping in outdoor conditions, stainless steel clamps are also available.
