Destaco 215208 toggle clamp spindle assembly or flat tip bonded neoprene spindle is a threaded rod witha rubber stopper, which is used to secure materials to work surfaces. When the rubber stopper begins to wear away, this spindle eliminates the risk of disfiguring and acts as a replacement unit for toggle clamps to extend their service life and to protect them from damage caused by abrasion / twisting / flexing. This clamp ensures optimal functionality and performance during welding, drilling & milling operations in the aerospace, automotive and food & packaging industries. The spindle can be adjusted to accommodate materials of varying thicknesses and can mount onto compatible toggle clamps, including manual, power & hydraulic clamps. The spindle features neoprene construction to exhibit chemical stability by maintaining flexibility at temperatures ranging from -20 to 100 degrees Celsius. It is supplied with jam nuts to allow adjustments between clamping distances. Destaco 215208 flat tip bonded neoprene spindle has oil resistant & silicone free properties for exceptional service life and offering hardness up to 80 Shore A.
Destaco 215208 flat tip bonded neoprene spindle offers a wide combination of features, making it adaptable to applications such as milling, welding and drilling, in the automotive, aerospace and food & packaging industries.
Destaco 215208 flat tip bonded spindle is ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certified.
A. Yes, Raptor Supplies also offers Destaco swivel foot spindles, round bonded spindles and hex head spindles.
A. Destaco spindles are also available in stainless steel variants, providing corrosion-free performance & enhanced service life. Request a quote for these spindles on Raptor Supplies.
A. The flat tip bonded spindles reduce marking on fragile or polished surfaces while swivel foot spindles are used where a large area needs to be clamped.
A. Both spindles have unique features owing to their construction. Neoprene spindles have neoprene constructed tips to prevent marring during camping and exhibit chemical stability by maintaining flexibility over a wide temperature range. Stainless steel spindles ensure prolonged service life owing to their anti-corrosive properties and ensure high tensile strength in extremely high & low temperatures.
A. Clamping force is the amount of force actually applied to the workpiece by closing & locking the clamp. It is normally less than the stated holding capacity. The actual clamping force depends on various factors, such as cylinder bore, cylinder area, spindle position (clamping arm length) and available air pressure. In most cases, the clamping force is approximately 2 to 3 times the force exerted by a pneumatic cylinder.
