Destaco 235208 toggle clamp spindle assembly is used to provide non-marking, secure clamping / holding of a workpiece. It is attached to toggle clamps through its clamping arms. This spindle assembly has steel construction and has flat neoprene tips. The flat tip bonded neoprene spindle ensures optimal functionality and performance during welding, drilling and milling operations in the aerospace, automotive and food & packaging industries. It has imperial threading for quick fastening onto the clamping bars of manual clamps. This unit has oil resistant, LABS (silicone) free construction and a neoprene tip for chemical stability & operational flexibility at temperatures ranging from -20 to 100 degrees C, while ensuring maximum clamping force. The neoprene tip prevents marring of work surfaces. The neoprene rubber tip features hardness of 70 - 80 Shore A to prevent damage caused by abrasion / twisting / flexing of the workpiece. This toggle clamp spindle assembly is supplied with jam nuts to accommodate materials of varying thicknesses by allowing adjustments between clamping distances. Destaco 235208 flat tip bonded neoprene spindle has a metallic body with 3/8-16 threading and a black coloured tip of 0.88 inch cap width. The spindle has a length of 5.75 inches for adjusting according to the workpiece. Raptor Supplies also offers variants of this spindle having lengths ranging from 1 to 5.75 inches.
Destaco 235208 flat tip bonded neoprene spindle is adaptable to applications such as welding, drilling and milling in the aerospace, automotive and food & packaging industries. It is ideally used with manual clamps for holding workpieces.
Destaco 235208 flat tip bonded spindle conforms to international standards like ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015.
A. Yes, Raptor Supplies also offers Destaco metric threaded neoprene spindles, swivel foot spindles, round bonded spindles and hex head spindles.
A. The flat tip bonded spindles are used to reduce marking on fragile or polished surfaces while swivel foot spindles are used where a workpiece with a large area needs to be clamped.
A. The term "holding force or capacity" indicates the ideal strength of the clamp for holding down the equipment, workpieces or sheet metal on the assembly line or during other industrial applications. The holding force is measured during the clamp manufacturing process, so does not provide a practical measure of the capacity of the clamp. Clamping force or exerting force denotes the actual force exerted by the clamp on the workpieces for holding them. The clamping force is generally lesser than the holding capacity, due to several factors, such as the position of spindle in the clamping bar and the opposing force applied on the clamp.
A. A coupling grease, such as Mobil XTC is recommended for use with the brand's mechanical clamps.
A. All Destaco carbon steel clamps are zinc plated to withstand & minimise wear & tear due to harsh industrial environments. Destaco also supplies stainless steel clamps for applications requiring clamping in outdoor conditions.
A. No, Destaco clamps are load-rated only for clamping applications. They are not designed for hoisting or lifting applications.
