Altronix NetWay1DWP midspan injector provides power & ethernet connection to PoE compliant connected devices (cameras / edge devices) in research facilities, offices and manufacturing plants. This midspan injector is designed for use with WiMAX modems, WLAN access points and outdoor IP cameras & PTZs. This midspan injector is capable of powering connected cameras / devices up to 100 metres from the unit. Altronix NetWay1DWP midspan injector features a single port for connecting multiple devices (cameras / edge devices) over ethernet at 10 / 100 / 1000 Mbps speed. Altronix midspan PoE injector's plug & play installation ensures quick set up and port status indicating LEDs to provide real time connection status monitoring. It features integral surge protection for enabling automatic detection & protection of non-PoE edge devices / cameras against voltage surge. Altronix midspan injector features LED indicators to show the link status and a NEMA 4 / 4X IP66-11 rated enclosure that can be wall or pole mounted ensuring quick & secure installation on open style racks. It is capable of being operated at temperatures ranging from - 30 to 70 degrees C at 30W and - 30 to 55 degrees C at 60W. This midspan injector operates at realtive humidity of 85% (+/- 5%) and at altitudes ranging between - 304.8 & 609.6 m.
Altronix NetWay1DWP midspan injector is well suited for providing power & ethernet connection to PoE compliant connected devices (cameras / edge devices) in offices, research facilities and manufacturing plants.
A. Using PoE injectors, user transmits data and power through the ethernet cable between the injector & the IP camera, at the same time. The data gets transmitted from the switch into the injector, thereby feeding it to the IP camera through the ethernet cable.
A. The difference lies in the fact that PoE injector supplies power to the PoE equipment that receives information / data from existing non-PoE switches, whereas a splitter splits the power from the data & feeds it to a separate input of a non-PoE compliant device.
A. Power over Ethernet (PoE) passes through switches that can operate both ways, as Powered Device (PD) or Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE). This means that the switch can be powered by PoE while providing power, simultaneously.
A. It depends on the category of the cable being used. Cables like CAT5E & higher support PoE on all voltages. CAT5 supports lower voltages.
A. Power over Ethernet (PoE) allows CAT5 patch leads to provide access to electric power as well as data connection to IP cameras, routers and switches.
A. PoE is injected into a cable between 44 & 57 VDC.
A. Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology is used to implement wired Ethernet local area network (LAN).
