A. Flux is used before assembly to help your board through the soldering process, whereas solder is used to attach components onto your circuit board.
A. Petroleum jelly is the finest substitute for flux because it is affordable, efficient, readily available, and doubles as a cleanser. Lemon juice, homemade pine tar flux and homemade rosin flux are other excellent substitutes.
A. Contrary to soldering copper, it is not sufficient to simply heat and melt the solder when soldering aluminium. If the aluminium isn't hot enough to receive the solder alloy, no amount of flux or solder will help you achieve soldering.
