Product Details:

Square D 9070T50D23 transformer is used to convert voltage levels and step down higher voltages to lower ones. It is useful in the energy & power, construction, automotive and telecommunication industries. This 24V transformer also provides electrical isolation between the input and output circuits.

Working Mechanism:

  • Square D transformer is connected to an input voltage source, which could be a higher or lower voltage depending on the specific application. The input voltage is applied to the primary winding of the transformer.
  • When the input voltage is applied to the primary winding (coil) of the transformer, it generates a changing magnetic field around the winding. This changing magnetic field induces a voltage in the secondary winding.
  • The induced voltage in the secondary winding of the transformer is proportional to the ratio of the number of turns in the primary and secondary windings.
  • The secondary winding has fewer turns to step down the voltage.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. What are the different types of Square D transformers available on Raptor Supplies?

A. Raptor Supplies offers Square D control transformers and buck-boost transformers.

Q. Do Square D transformers require maintenance?

A. Transformers require periodic maintenance to ensure proper functioning and extend their lifespan. Maintenance tasks include inspecting for overheating, checking connections and monitoring insulation resistance.

Q. Why does my Square D transformer get hot while it works?

A. The heating of the transformer is caused by the dissipation of electrical energy during stepping down the voltage.
