Destaco 847-S-LC pneumatic hold down toggle clamp has over-focus switch activity linkage in conjunction with a pneumatic cylinder, which makes it an incredibly flexible device ideal for a broad range of applications. For user safety, this completely independent clamp requires only a pressure source. It is compatible with both round and T slot sensors, which makes Destaco 847-S-LC replacement pneumatic toggle clamp versatile. The device comes with in-built flow restriction, eliminating the need for external flow controls. It features a sturdy clamping arm to keep workpieces securely in place and can handle loads up to 1000 lb. With a strong helical cam component and a double acting air cylinder, the clamping arm allows more extensive stacking flexibility. It includes a large opening angle that guarantees simple part evacuation and can handle pressures up to 145 psig. The toggle clamp handle lays flat when the toggle clamp is closed. Thus, the operator can utilise the unit in situations where you need more flexibility over the clamp or where you need the operator's hand away from the clamp during operation.
Destaco 847-S-LC is a replacement pneumatic hold down toggle clamp. It is used for applications like machining, welding, grinding and metal fabrication in the food & packaging, automation, aerospace and automotive industries.
A. The toggle clamp actuates against the workpiece and stretches or compresses the equipped linkages for keeping the workpiece in a stationary position.
A. A coupling grease like Mobil XTC should be used when dealing with Destaco mechanical clamps, while the Magnalube G grease is great for use with pneumatic cylinder seals.
A. The holding capacity or holding force represents the capability of a clamp for holding down mechanical equipment or sheet metal while assembling automotive parts or during manufacturing processes.
A. There is no such significance of the colour of the clamp's handle, as it only represents a recognisable area. This helps operators in finding the handle quickly & easily.
A. Clamping force is the amount of force actually applied to the workpiece by closing & locking the clamp. It is normally less than the stated holding capacity. The actual clamping force depends on various factors including cylinder bore, cylinder area, spindle position (clamping arm length) and available air pressure. In most cases, the clamping force is approximately 2 to 3 times the force exerted by a pneumatic cylinder.
A. Yes, Destaco also supplies inductive sensors designed in accordance with IP65 standards to ensure protection from powerful hydraulic jets, dust & heavy rain.
A. Destaco hold down toggle clamps apply downward clamping force by increasing the applied load via toggle mechanisms. You can see the clamping force on the packaging itself, which is specified in Newton (N). Use this information with the size of the toggle clamp to work out the degree of pressure that the tool will have to exert on a piece of wood. The larger the piece of wood, the greater the pressure required.
