Destaco 650-M straight line action clamp is used for applying clamping force sideways rather than from the top, securing workpieces in limited space applications. It is recommended for applications like metalworking, woodworking, welding, testing, fixturing, plastic injection molding, CNC machining, automotive part assembling and staking / light pressworking of industrial equipment. This straight line clamp features a compact design to reduce space requirement for clamp installation & operation, thereby increasing ease of use in confined spaces for both single part & mass production. Destaco 650-M straight line action clamp is capable of being locked in both retracted & extended positions and has a flanged base with threaded holes for quick & secure installation. This straight line action clamp comes with a threaded plunger that accommodates a hex head spindle assembly for making the clamp's plunger length easily adjustable. Destaco 650-M straight line action clamp is made of steel for structural rigidity and resisting corrosion on exposed surfaces. This straight line action clamp is capable of withstanding loads up to 16000 lb and is compatible with the brand's 250203-M spindle to provide high performance automation, workholding and containment solutions as well as optimum clamping force. Destaco 650-M straight line action clamp comes equipped with a round plunger having M16 thread size for quick & secure fastening.
Destaco 650-M straight line action clamp is ideal for CNC machining, automotive part assembling and fixture checking in the aerospace, automotive and food & packaging industries.
A. Toggle clamps are offered in multiple variants with different holding capacities. The capacity of a particular toggle clamp can be measured by calculating the distance between the workbench and clamping plate (at its highest position).
A. A straight line clamp incorporates a sliding plunger to provide straight line clamping action. The plunger can be locked in either pulling or pushing direction for holding workpieces.
A. A coupling grease like Mobil XTC should be used when dealing with Destaco mechanical clamps, while the Magnalube G grease is great for use with pneumatic cylinder seals.
A. The clamp's holding capacity or holding force represents the capability of a clamp for holding down mechanical equipment or sheet metal while assembling automotive parts or during manufacturing processes.
A. Clamping force is the amount of force actually applied to the workpiece by closing & locking the clamp. It is normally less than the stated holding capacity. The actual clamping force depends on various factors, including cylinder bore, cylinder area, spindle position (clamping arm length) and available air pressure. In most cases, the clamping force is approximately 2 to 3 times the force exerted by a pneumatic cylinder.
