Baldwin 150 DAHL fuel filter system is designed for effectively removing water and solid contaminants from diesel fuel before it reaches pumps or injectors, thereby providing prolonged service life and reducing unscheduled downtime.
Working Mechanism:
- The contaminated fuel enters the inlet port.
- The T-bolt redirects the fuel downward through the centre pipe.
- Fuel flows through the reverse flow valve and reaches the depressuriser cone.
- As the fuel discharges on the cone, 80% of contaminant separation takes place. Most of the solid particles and water settle into the quiet zone of the bowl.
- As the fuel rises upward, any remaining water droplets coalesce on the cone, baffle and bowl surface.
- As the droplet size and weight gradually increases, It causes a downward flow into the sump.
- The fuel is then filtered completely by the element containing HydroShield media.
- At last, the clean fuel continues rising upward through the outlet port and towards the pump and injection system.

- It features a unique DAHL patented depressuriser cone which spreads the flow of the fuel in a large surface area and allows separation of water & dirt from the fuel.
- It comes equipped with a reverse flow valve that holds the prime in the fuel system by not allowing backflow of fluid to the tank during shut-down operation.
- This unit has a dual chamber that provides efficient suction side water separation and contamination filtration. It delivers less mechanical resistance because the fuel changes direction only twice.
- It eliminates air entrapment since the inlet and outlet ports are at the top of the unit and features an aluminium bowl (up to 20-ounce water capacity) which makes constant draining unnecessary.
