Autonics CR18-8DN proximity sensor detects the presence of iron, plastic, metal, water, wood and stone. This cylindrical sensor is used for liquid level detection or counting the products on conveyors.

Working Mechanism:

• When the sensor power is turned On, the current oscillation is close to 0V.
• When an object approaches the sensor, the capacitance increases and the current oscillation increases, thus providing the output.
