Working Mechanism

  • Eaton D26 Series complete DC relays use an electromagnet (energised by the direct current control signal) to create a magnetic field and attract a movable armature.
  • The armature then closes a switch that connects the load to the power source, completing the circuit and allowing electrical current to flow.
  • When the control signal is removed, the electromagnet loses its magnetic field and returns the armature to its original position for opening the switch & breaking the connection between the load & power source.
  • This allows the relay to switch the electrical circuit on and off in response to the control signal.
