Dayton float switches are designed to be used as level sensors to detect the level of fluid in sump basins. They consist of a float that automatically elevates & lowers depending on the water level of the sump basin. These switches turn On & Off depending on the water level and a preset value, maintaining the desired water level. Tether float switches are connected to the pump via a flexible tether that can be adjusted for automatic starting & stopping of the pump at preset levels. They are designed for large areas since the tether moves in an arc as the water level in the sump basin changes. Sandpiper vertical float switches are ideal for small-diameter sump basins as they employ a float that uses straight up and down movement of a rod to activate the switch.
