Dayton AC gearmotors utilise a 115V AC power source to operate a variety of high-power applications, such as conveyor toasters, pumps, X-ray equipment, water softeners, amusement devices, valve actuators, displays, security systems and food equipment. These gearmotors consist of a motor, gear and bearings, that work together to generate high intensity torque at a low speed. They feature die cast zinc housing for excellent corrosion resistance and automatic motor thermal protection for safety during stalls or overload conditions. They come with open vented / TEFC enclosures for keeping the motor safe from overheating and moisture. Selected models are integrated with a disc brake that decelerates the speed and stops the driven machine instantly.
