Features

  • Allpax M3 rotary-style gasket cutters deliver accurate cuts and clean edges on non-metallic gasket materials, in both imperial & metric measurements.
  • They have heavy-duty cast iron construction and are equipped with a 7-inch throat, precision steel components and heat-treated rotary cutting discs for ensuring durability & structural rigidity.
  • These cutters can be permanently mounted on a workbench having a vise or on a vertical flange, using C-clamps and 1/4 inch bolts.
  • They are available in hand and power operated variants, and are ideal for high volume repetitive jobs.
  • Power-operated gasket cutters feature 120VAC / 220VAC voltage and 1/4 hp gearmotors that can be actuated with a momentary switch.
  • Hand-operated units are equipped with a hand crank for rotating cutting blades and fabricating ring, flange & irregularly shaped gaskets.
  • These gasket cutters are capable of fabricating gaskets with face widths ranging from 1/4 to 7 inches (2 inch internal diameter to 62 inch outer diameter).

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a rotary gasket cutter and an extension gasket cutter?

Rotary-style gasket cutters are used in applications having permanent installation constraints, whereas extension-style gasket cutters can be moved easily from one location to another for cutting gaskets of large diameters. Extension-style cutters require the gasket material to be laid flat on a workbench or a dedicated gasket fabrication table.

How do Allpax rotary-style electric gasket cutters work?

They feature an electric motor connected to the rotating disc for automatically moving & cutting the gasket material. To operate, first set the scale bar to the desired outer diameter (OD) and pierce a small hole in the centre of the gasket material to be cut. Open the cutter, insert the material onto a scale bar spindle and fasten using the knurled nut. Using one hand, lower the cutting disc & apply pressure, while also turning the crank with the other hand. Remove excess material, adjust the scale bar to the desired inner diameter (ID) and make another circular cut around that circumference. Finally, remove the finished flange gasket.
