Plate and beam lifting clamps are used for moving, transferring, lifting and suspending heavy items. A plate lifting clamp should only be used to carry or lift a single plate at a time. However, the only exception to this plate lifting rule is that you need to distribute the weight, by lifting a stack of plates horizontally, using two or four clamps.
