About Procon

PROCON catalogue includes rotary vane pumps and circulator pump accessories. The brand's rotary vane pumps are pumping devices used in beverage dispensers, espresso machines and fluid transfer applications. These pumps utilise rotary vane technology to create a positive displacement, ensuring consistent and efficient fluid flow. They provide reliability, efficiency and a broad application spectrum. They feature self-priming capabilities for water and are maintenance-free, providing convenience and ease of use. These pumps have low vibration and pulsation characteristics, ensuring smooth and stable fluid transfer. They come with an internal relief valve in an external adjust configuration for precise pressure control. These pumps offer stainless steel housing for increased durability and corrosion resistance. PROCON pump motor couplings connect the pump and motor shafts while bearing the wear in case of misalignment. These PROCON pump couplings are useful in vacuum systems, gasoline pumps, HVAC and packaging applications. They feature bronze construction for corrosion resistance and high machinability. They are designed to be mounted onto two shafts with matching double flat or slot ends.

Procon Competitive Advantages

Low Vibrations & Pulsation

Procon pumps have low vibration & pulsation characteristics for ensuring a smooth fluid flow throughout the pumping operation. Low vibrational characteristics also ensure that the pump is suitable for applications that demand vibration-free operation. These pumps have patented relief valve configuration for diverting the fluid flow if pressure builds up inside the pump. This feature prevents any damage to the pump assembly and the connected system.

No Mechanical Seal

Procon pumps feature mechanical seal free design. Mechanical seals are the weak point in the pumping system as these can fail. Eliminating mechanical seals from the pump assembly eliminates the chances of pump failure. It ensures leakage-free operation throughout the fluid pumping. These pumps have 303 stainless steel construction, preventing chances of fluid contamination while ensuring maintenance-free operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to install Procon pumps?

Users should first mount the drive shaft coupling onto the motor, ensuring the motor is electrically disconnected. Mount the motor adapter onto the motor, engaging the coupling pieces. Connect the inlet and outlet line after checking the pump motor rotation. Users should check for the pump pressure & leakages.

How to adjust the pressure on Procon pumps?

Procon pumps have an acorn nut on the inlet side. The acorn nut covers the relief valve of the pump. To gain access to the slotted adjustment screw, the user should remove the acorn nut, which exposes the adjustment screw after removal. Users can turn the adjustment screw clockwise to increase the pump pressure and counterclockwise to decrease the pressure.

How to clean a clogged inlet on a Procon pump?

Users should first clean the internal strainer or inlet filter on the pump. Users should ensure that the dirt / debris does not fall inside the pump while cleaning / replacing the filter.

How to correct the pump & motor alignment?

First, turn OFF and disconnect the motor from the power source. Remove the pump assembly from the motor. Users should then remount the pump assembly onto the motor, making sure the motor & pump unit are aligned correctly.
