Working Mechanism:

  • Grasp the handle with the right hand and the adjustment stem with the left hand. Pull the stem toward you for opening the deheader.
  • Place the blade against the inner rim of the drum and hold the rim with the rim catch.
  • Rotate the adjustment knob clockwise until the rim catch touches the side of the drum. Do not overtighten the adjustment knob. The deheader should be able to slide along the drum rim.
  • Gently grasp the adjustment stem and press the handle down for piercing the drum lid.
  • Press the handle as far as it can rotate to allow blades to cut along its full length.
  • Raise the handle and slide the deheader forward.
  • Repeat the last three steps until the drum lid is adequately open.
