Thermal Dynamics plasma cutter offers a wide combination of features, making it useful for disc cutting applications, primarily conductive materials including stainless steel, mild steel, cast iron, Copper Monel, titanium, brass & aluminium in metalworking, maintenance and repair industries.
Thermal Dynamics plasma cutter operates by transferring an electric arc through a gas that passes through a narrow opening. The used gas can be nitrogen, argon, shop air or oxygen, resulting in a clean & high-speed cutting process through the molten metal. The gas is directed around the perimeter of the cutting area to shield the cut.
In plasma, the electrons are separated from the nucleus. Once the heat energy releases the electrons from the atom, they begin to move around quickly. These electrons are negatively charged and leave behind their positively charged ions or nuclei. When the fast-moving electrons collide with other ions & electrons, they release a vast amount of energy, giving plasma extraordinary cutting power.
