PETERSEN PRODUCTS 154-006-G Pipe Plug, Inflatable, Low Pressure Gas, 6 Inch Diameter

Petersen Products 154-006-G inflatable pipe plug is used to block pipes where access is restricted, for preventing the entry of dirt & other contaminants during maintenance, construction or repair of pipelines. It is ideal for pipeline closed water tests, plugging, municipal pipeline maintenance, dredging, leaking, water blocking, drainage pipeline maintenance and sewage treatment.

Working Mechanism:

• An inflation connection is used with the air hose to inflate the plug.
• Bolts are used to support brace pressure under the back pressure and pull out the plug within the pipeline. They should be tied with a chain.
• The air hose should be securely attached to control devices and the chain to hooks on the pipe plug.
• The pipe plug is inserted completely into the pipeline before inflation.
• Check whether the shortest allowable distance from the beginning of the pipeline to the plug is equal to the pipeline diameter.
• After insertion, open the safety valve to inflate the plug.
• The pipe plug must be parallel to the centerline of the pipeline.
• After completing the test, release the back pressure and deflate the pipe plug prior to pipe plug removal.
• After using the pipe plug, clean and inspect it for damage, if any.
• Note: Do not inflate pipe plug prior to insertion and outside of the pipe.
• Note: Do not enter the danger zone while the plug is inflated and do not exceed maximum inflation pressure.
• Note: Do not use the hose as a chain to pull out the pipe plug.
