Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. Which type of sander is suitable for woodworking?

A. Palm and detail sanders are used for most woodworking applications, as they cannot manage heavy material removal, so they are needed to be paired with a belt sander. Whereas rotary and random orbital sanders can handle medium to large projects.

Q. What is the difference between a sheet sander and an orbital sander?

A. Both orbital and sheet sanders rotate an abrasive in a circular pattern. But a sheet sander employs a sheet of sandpaper as the abrasive and an orbital sander has unique sanding discs.

Q. When do we require an orbital sander?

A. When we need a smooth surface in a short time, an orbital sander might be your best bet. Orbital sanders are typically hand-held tools that operate by rotating themselves elliptically to produce a seamless surface. Operators can even use them to remove rust or paint.
