Product Details:

Humboldt Mary Ann H-4315A (5DPL3) sieve sifter or laboratory sifter is designed to sieve or filter out unwanted materials from a stack of different mesh sizes.

Working Mechanism:

  • The inclined, rotating stack of this laboratory sifter delivers thorough tumbling action to help climbing particles pass through the mesh.
  • Gravity keeps the material bearing on the increasingly changing, rotating mesh to either pass the particles or carry them up the incline, in order to tumble back with the nesting particles.
  • Subsequently, it pours out of the apertures and down into the percolating pile.
  • This procedure is repeated again on the next, smaller meshed sieve below and so on, down through the stack.

Features:

  • Humboldt Mary Ann H-4315A (5DPL3) sieve sifter can be easily stacked up to 26-inch heights, without the need for clamping.
  • It angles sieves at an angle of 45 degrees while rotating using a 1/3 hp motor.
  • This totally-enclosed unit can be used with 8 and 12-inch sieves.
  • It has hardwood-faced aluminium hammers to accomplish the sieving process by tapping.
  • The unit comes with a support stand to provide a sieve storage rack.

Standards and Approvals:

  • ISO 9001:2015
  • ASTM D1140

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. Why is tapping required during sieving?

A. The tapping action is hammered at right angles to the sieves for light and fine near-mesh materials, ensuring clean apertures.
