Q. How does the dehumidifier remove water?

A. The dehumidifier is equipped with an internal condensate pump to remove water that has been collected from the air. The pump allows the water to be pumped 20 feet with the attached hose. If more than 20 feet of water needs to be pumped out, a second pump must be added to relay the water.

Q. What is meant by pump purging?

A. Pump purging allows the pump to manually expel water from the reservoir to prevent mineral build-up in the unit. The condensate pump of Fantech dehumidifier is designed to automatically purge for 20 seconds, every four minutes.
