Product Details:

Dwyer 628-13-GH-P9-E1-S1 pressure transducer / transmitter measures vacuum, either as positive absolute pressure or negative gauge pressure. It is ideal for fluid management, aerospace & automotive applications and is used with hydraulics, pumps and compressors.

Working Mechanism:

  • The force imparted to the diaphragm by the pressure (on the pressure transmitter) causes it to either expand or contract, changing the resistance value in response.
  • After that, the value is transmitted as an electrical signal.

Features:

  • This 628-13-GH-P9-E1-S1 Dwyer pressure transmitter / transducer has a compact & rugged NEMA 4X, general-purpose enclosure to protect against corrosion, splashing water and windblown dust or rain.
  • It offers a compensated temperature range from 0 to 175 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • This unit features a +/-1% full-scale accuracy sensor and corrosion-resistant 316L stainless steel wetted parts to allow operation in humid conditions.

Compatible Accessories:

  • Dwyer A-164 Cables: These 5-metre cables come with M-12 4-pin female connectors.
  • Dwyer A-62X-LCD Displays: They are field upgradeable LCDs, producing a full, affordable solution for the local indication of airflow.

Standards and Approvals:

  • CE
  • NEMA
  • NSF
  • ANSI
  • UL
  • NEPA 20

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. What is the difference between a pressure transmitter and a pressure transducer?

A. A pressure transducer converts pressure into an electrical signal. Whereas, a pressure transmitter also modulates, amplifies and transmits that produced electronic signal.

Q. What are the points to remember while installing this Dwyer pressure transducer / transmitter?

A.

During installation, make sure the device's and the process' sealing surfaces are spotless and unharmed.
  • To prevent the potential of leaks, only screw or unscrew the device using the proper tool and always tighten the transmitter in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Be careful not to over-tighten as this might lead to inaccurate test results and the potential for thread breakage which could lead to leaks.
  • The performance of the transmitters won't be harmed by proper tightness, ensuring operation without leaks.

Q. What is the range of the pressure transmitter?

A. For a process pressure range of 0 to 350 psi, the pressure transmitter is calibrated to produce a current range of 4 to 20mA.

Q. Which kind of signal is used in a pressure transmitter?

A. A pressure transmitter, as opposed to a transducer with a voltage output, has a low-impedance current output that provide analogue 4 - 20mA signals.
