Destaco variable stroke straight line action clamp (FO-162/60) is designed for axial loads in operations where workpiece tolerances and thicknesses vary. This straight line action clamp is recommended for clamping between ribs and hollow spaces that are difficult to reach. It features a compact design that allows both single part & mass production and is equipped with a plunger & hand wheel / hand lever that can be operated either by one hand or both hands, separately or simultaneously. This clamp has a foot mounted, flanged base for ease of installation and is capable of withstanding loads up to 2020 lb. Destaco FO-162/60 straight line action clamp is designed only for axial loads, and an additional radial support of the plunger is recommended for use with side loads. This variable stroke straight line action clamp can accommodate swivel thrust pads for high performance workholding, automation & containment solutions.
Destaco FO-162/60 variable stroke straight line action clamp is used for single part / mass production of fixtures.
Destaco FO-162/60 variable stroke straight line action clamp is ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 approved to deliver high quality clamping services.
A. This clamp is designed only for axial loads. To accomodate side loads, we would recommend an additional radial support for the plunger.
A. A straight line clamp have a sliding plunger to provide straight line clamping action. The plunger can be locked in either pulling or pushing direction for holding workpieces.
A. Yes, Destaco straight line action clamps are available in foot mount flanged base, front flange mount and through hole mounting styles.
A. A coupling grease like Mobil XTC should be used when dealing with Destaco mechanical clamps, while the Magnalube G grease is great for use with pneumatic cylinder seals.
A. The holding capacity or holding force depicts the clamp's capability to hold down equipment or sheet metal on assembly lines or during similar manufacturing processes.
A. Clamping force is the amount of force actually applied to the workpiece by closing & locking the clamp. It is normally less than the stated holding capacity. The actual clamping force depends on various factors, such as cylinder bore, cylinder area, spindle position (clamping arm length) and available air pressure. In most cases, the clamping force is approximately 2 to 3 times the force exerted by a pneumatic cylinder.
A. Yes, Destaco also supplies inductive sensors designed in accordance with IP65 standards to ensure protection from powerful hydraulic jets, dust & heavy rain.
