Straight line action clamps move the clamp plunger along its axis using push / pull or straight line toggle clamping action to lock it either in two positions (extended and retracted position) or in one position (only extended position). They are ideally used in fixturing, testing, CNC machining & plastic injection moulding applications in the automotive, aerospace and food & packaging industries. Destaco 5000 Series straight line action clamps, also known as hold down action clamps are equipped with a high-strength clamping arm for heavy-duty operations. They have hardened bushings & steel pivot pins, providing enhanced service life. Destaco 5133 straight line action clamp features a low profile and robust construction for increased life and durability. It comes with a reverse acting handle that rotates backwards as the plunger advances in the forward direction to move the handle out of the work area. This clamp has steel construction with black oxide finish and hardened plungers. Raptor Supplies also offers this manual clamp featuring solid base for strong welded, permanent installation; Toggle Lock Plus to prevent accidental disconnection of the clamp and imperial plunger threading for secure clamping with the help of spindles.
A. Raptor Supplies offers these manual clamps in variants including 5133-B, featuring a solid base for permanently welded installation and (5133-M) with M12 metric threaded plunger for attaching a metric threaded spindle to the clamp.
A. Selected models of the Destaco clamps come with a Toggle Lock Plus feature, providing extra level of safety to the user and the workpiece when fixtures are inverted / in motion / in a vibratory environment. It acts as secondary locking mechanism to ensure that the clamp stay in over-centre toggle lock condition. Raptor Supplies can deliver Destaco 5133-R clamp having similar specifications as Destaco 5133 clamp with Toggle Lock Plus feature to prevent accidental disconnection of the clamp.
A. The term "holding capacity" or the holding force indicates the ideal capability of the clamp, measured during manufacturing of the clamps, to hold down the equipment, workpiece or sheet metal on the assembly line or during other manufacturing processes.
A. The red colour of the handle alerts the operator about the location of the operating handle and the time he should grab it.
A. Coupling greases like Mobil XTC are recommended for use with the brand's mechanical clamps.
A. Most of the Destaco clamps feature grips that can be easily removed by sliding them off. But some of the handle grips undergo vinyl dipping to fit the underlying handle and hence, have to be cut off for removing them.
A. No, Destaco clamps are not designed for hoisting or lifting applications.
A. All Destaco carbon steel clamps are zinc plated to withstand & minimise wear & tear due to harsh industrial environments. Destaco also supplies stainless steel clamps for applications requiring clamping in outdoor conditions.
