Working Mechanism

  • The plug valve rotates between the closed and open positions to shield both seals from the flow channel.
  • To prevent wear or abrasion, there is no contact between the body and seals while the valve is open.
  • It expands onto the body seat when the valve is closed.

Features

  • Shaw mechanical expansion plugs (72003 & 72005 models) have a wing-nut for testing leaks and sealing off sections of pipelines.
  • They feature a zinc-plated steel body with neoprene rubber for superior strength & corrosion resistance.

Standards and Approvals

  • ISO 14001

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the maximum air pressure these plugs can handle?

They can handle a maximum air pressure of 10 psi.

What is the inside diameter of the holes of these plugs?
