Working Mechanism

  • The plug valve rotates between the closed and open positions to shield both seals from the flow channel.
  • To prevent wear or abrasion, there is no contact between the body and seals while the valve is open.
  • It expands onto the body seat when the valve is closed.

Features

  • Shaw Bypass mechanical expansion plugs (53096 & 53001 models) feature a Turn-Tite T-handle to provide exceptional grip for fastening them into the hole.
  • They feature a brass handle and a zinc-plated steel body with neoprene rubber for structural rigidity & corrosion resistance.

Standards and Approvals

  • ISO 14001
