Working Mechanism

  • Pass the safety wire through the fastener or around the component to be secured.
  • Grip both ends of the wire at an appropriate distance from the fastener or object.
  • To secure the pliers to the wires, slide the sleeve on the centre barrel.
  • To rotate the pliers, release them and pull the knob on the centre barrel.
  • Hold the pliers with one hand and release the knob after each pull to allow the spring on the twisting mechanism to retract.
  • Repeat until you have the desired number of twists per inch.
  • To release the jaws, pull back on the locking sleeve.
  • Cut the newly twisted wire to the required size using the integrated cutters.
  • To undo the twist, use reversible safety wire pliers.
  • With a simple one-pull action, the unit automatically returns the twisted wire into a strand that won't unravel.
