Georg Fischer true union ball valves are designed for use in irrigation, swimming pools, sewage treatment, recycling water engineering, aquaculture, civil construction and other industries. These true union ball valves have double unions, permitting service while repairing or replacing the valve. The main part of the valve or carrier is where the handle and ball are positioned and can be taken out of line for easy service without dismantling the complete system. These manual ball valves manage the flow of liquid in a pipe. They come equipped with a lever that closes or opens a spherical port, permitting the liquid to flow through the system. Georg Fischer full-port valves feature PTFE dynamically loaded seats that maintain consistent pressure on the ball to stop leaks. The CPVC stems of these true union ball valves have a built-in breakpoint above seals to stop leaks if the handle is cracked off. These true union ball valves come with stainless steel mounting inserts and provide a working temperature range of 32 degrees to 176 degrees F. Choose from a range of these true union ball valves, available in 3 and 4 inch pipe sizes.
Georg Fischer true union ball valves provide an easy way to start and stop flow in a system. They are frequently used in the chemical storage, oil and natural gas industry and are important in many manufacturing operations.
The working principle of true union ball valves is that it directs or regulates the flow of a fluid (liquids, gases, solids, or slurries) by closing, opening or partly blocking different passageways using a controlling ball with a hole inside. When the valve opens, the bore line permits gas, oil or other liquid to flow through. It can be turned to the closed position, where the bore is perpendicular to the opening of the pipeline, stopping the contents from flowing through.
Ball valve is the most used fluid shutoff valve in upstream oil and gas production facilities, both onshore and offshore. They are also used in fuel gas systems that feed furnaces.
True union ball valves feature double unions, permitting efficient servicing of the valve (whether repairing or replacing the valve). The main part of the valve or carrier is where the ball and the handle are positioned. This can be taken out of line for comfortable service without disassembling the complete system.
A double union ball valve has two unions on it, one on both sides. The unions allow the valve to be unscrewed and released from the pipeline, where it can be serviced or inspected to see if it's clogged, and then comfortably put back in the pipeline where the valve unions can be tightened again.
PVC unions and PVC pipe union connectors are pipe fittings used to attach two pipes without a sealant or traditional glued coupling.
