Features

  • They feature a spool inside a cylinder which allows, stops and changes the direction of the flow of fluids through the valve.
  • These valves feature a 3-way configuration with three working ports (inlet, outlet and exhaust). The 3-way design not only supplies fluid to an actuator but, also allows fluid to return from it.
  • They also feature a pilot-operated mechanism that is the main force required to open the valve by media pressure, allowing free flow from the inlet port through the outlet port.
  • They are capable of withstanding temperatures ranging from -40 to 120 degrees Celsius and a maximum pressure of up to 3000 psi.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the function of an elastomer?

An elastomer is a synthetic elastic material, used for O-ring seals to provide bubble-tight shut-off in a valve and prevent leakage. Typical materials are Viton, Buna-N and EPDM (ethylene propylene monomer).

What is the internal pressure relief?

It is a self-relieving functionality in non-independent seating valves that automatically relieves excessive internal body pressure caused by sudden changes in line pressures. By using the piston effect principle, the excessive body pressure will move the seat away from its seating surface and relieve it to the lower pressure side.

What is the function of the valve operator?

It is a device that converts manual, hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical energy into mechanical motion to open or close a valve.
