Working Mechanism

  • Eaton Danfoss L2 Series gear pumps use their rotating cogs & gears to create a liquid seal with the pump's casing.
  • This generates suction at a pump's inlet.
  • Fluid gets drawn into the pump while being enclosed in the cavities generated by the rotating gears.
  • This leads to fluid transfer to the discharge port.

Features

  • Eaton Danfoss L2 Series gear pumps are compact and feature fewer moving parts.
  • They are ideal for pumping high-viscosity fluids & oils.
  • These gear pumps have aluminium housing with clockwise (CW) / counterclockwise (CCW) shaft rotation.
  • They have plain backplate or double pump configuration.
  • These gear pumps have a maximum continuous pressure of 248 bar (3600 PSI) & a maximum intermittent pressure of 276 bar (4000 PSI).
  • They have a maximum continuous inlet temperature of 107 degrees C (225 degrees C) and a minimum operating temperature of -29 degrees C (-20 degrees F). High temperatures can cause thermal expansion of the casing & gears for reduced clearances inside a pump, resulting in increased wear or pump failure.
