Danfoss DSV1-10 Series Check Valves

Eaton Danfoss DSV1-10 Series check valves are widely used in harvesting and solid waste disposal applications. These check valves facilitate fluid flow from one of two sources and feature steel construction for structural rigidity & impact resistance. They can withstand temperatures ranging from - 40 to 120 degrees C. These valves come equipped with a ball to block one end of the valve opening when pressure is exerted on the other; but allow fluid to flow through the middle opening. They offer screw-in-cartridge type installation for reduced leakage points and to withstand vibrations.

Features

  • They are made of steel to offer durability and impact resistance and are capable of withstanding temperatures ranging between -40 and 120 degrees Celsius.
  • These shuttle valves are equipped with a ball that blocks one end of the valve opening when pressure is exerted through another opening, but allows fluid to flow through the middle opening.
  • They further feature screw-in-cartridge type installation that minimises leakage points and an increased ability to withstand vibrations.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an elastomer?

An elastomer is a synthetic elastic material, used for O-ring seals to provide bubble-tight shut-off in a valve and prevent leakage.

What is the function of the valve actuator?

It is a device that converts manual, hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical energy into mechanical motion to open or close a valve.

What is the difference between a direct-acting and a pilot-operated control valve?

Direct-acting control valves prevent over-pressure in a hydraulic system while pilot-operated control valves regulate and maintain the pressure of the system.
