Working Mechanism

  • When the fluid flows in the intended direction, the poppet is forced open by the flow, causing the fluid to pass through until the pressure drops.
  • Due to the decrease in pressure the flow stops and reverses which causes the spring-loaded poppet to instantly close and stop the backflow into the valve.
  • The poppet keeps the valve closed until the fluid pressure is high enough to overcome the spring force and open the valve again.

Features

  • These direct-acting valves feature steel construction for durability and a poppet-style mechanism for quick opening / closing of valve ports, ensuring a smooth flow in the system.
  • They incorporate a screw-in cartridge-type installation method for easy integration and maintenance, thereby reducing potential leakage points, as well as, withstanding vibrations & noise levels.
  • They are ideal for harvesting, refuse hauling and mobile & industrial applications.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the function of a Viton seal?

These check valves have Viton seals that offer exceptional resistance to oils, chemicals and many solvents at high temperatures.

What is water hammering?

Water hammering can occur in plumbing systems when the fluid is suddenly stopped or restricted. This abrupt change in the flow causes a pressure wave to travel through the pipes, creating a knocking noise.

How to maintain the check valves?

  • Inspect the valve periodically for any signs of leakage or damage.
  • Replace the valve or its components (if necessary) to ensure the smooth functioning of the valve.
