CC Series Molded Case Circuit Breakers

Eaton CC Series circuit breakers provide overcurrent protection by limiting current flow. These circuit breakers come with a thermal-magnetic trip system that offers both long-time and instantaneous functionalities for optimal protection. The CC frame design provides an interrupting rating of 10kA @ 240V and current up to 225A for reverse feed applications. They feature bolt-on mounting and load side lug terminals for smooth installation. These molded case circuit breakers are available in 2 & 3 pole options on Raptor Supplies.

Working Mechanism

  • These Eaton breakers incorporate both fixed thermal and magnetic trips.

    • Fixed Thermal Trips:

    • Fixed thermal trips make use of the heat generated by the current flow in the circuit.
    • The trip unit contains a bimetallic, temperature-sensitive strip that heats up and bends as the current increases, tripping the breaker.

    Fixed Magnetic Trips:

    • Fixed magnetic trips make use of the magnetic field strength produced by the current flow in the circuit.
    • The trip unit is equipped with an electromagnet that is sensitive to changes in magnetic field strength.
    • When the magnetic field intensity reaches a certain threshold, the breaker trips.

    • Eaton CC Series circuit breakers are thermal magnetic, meaning that they detect electric faults due to change in temperature or magnetic field.
    • These units are fed-thru copper / aluminium wires in their line & load side lug terminals for easy connection on panels.
    • They have long-time and instantaneous trip functions for quick protection in case of a fault.
    • These moulded case circuit breakers have a sliding handle with ON & OFF positions & current rating for easy identification of the breaker's status.
