Automatic reset is a condition when devices automatically close or complete the circuit after a period when the overload conditions have surpassed. If the overload condition still exists, the device will continue to cycle until either the power or the overload is removed.
These trips are caused by a response to non-damaging inrush or start-up current surges, as opposed to an actual overcurrent trip.
It is a graphical representation of the minimum and maximum time a breaker takes to trip for given levels of overload.
