Eaton circuit breakers offer protection by cutting off the electrical supply in the event of short-circuit and overload occurrences. They feature bolt-on mounting with line & load side lugs for hassle free installation. When combined with a mounting base, CHB breakers are also used for surface and DIN rail mount cable-in/cable-out applications. These bolt on circuit breakers feature a standard interrupting capacity of 10kA at 240V, ideal for reverse feed applications. They have a thermal-magnetic trip unit which provides both long-time & instantaneous trip functions and standard box lug terminals ideal for copper & aluminium wires. These bolt on circuit breakers are available in 1, 2 and 3 pole options on Raptor Supplies.

Working Mechanism

  • Eaton CHB Series circuit breakers normally allow current to flow. In this state, the current-carrying contacts come into contact with each other.
  • A ground fault can be caused by faulty wiring, damaged appliances or worn insulation.
  • When this device detects a ground fault, the contacts move apart, thus tripping the circuit.
  • After troubleshooting the issue, users can turn the circuit back ON by resetting it.

  • The handles of these breakers are marked with ON/OFF indication & current rating.
  • They come with standard box lug terminals that are capable of accommodating copper and aluminium wire sizes ranging from 14 to 8 AWG.
  • They have a thermal-magnetic trip for avoiding nuisance tripping during mild overloads but reacting instantly to severe short circuits.
  • Selected models have an internal common trip connection to operate all poles simultaneously.
  • These units feature 5mA ground fault protection to prevent fatal electrical shocks caused due to overload and short-circuit occurrences.
