Working Mechanism

  • When the crane is in operation and the load exceeds the predetermined limit, the power limit switch trips and opens the circuit, thus disconnecting power to the crane.
  • At the same time, the overpressure in the crane's hydraulic system activates the pressure relief valve in the blowout assembly, allowing the excess pressure to be safely relieved, preventing damage to the system.
  • The crane power limit switch and the blowout assembly can be connected in series, so when the switch trips, the pressure relief valve will also open.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the function of a power limit switch?

Eaton's crane power limit switch is suitable for controlling and protecting the electrical circuits of cranes by automatically disconnecting power when a predetermined limit is exceeded, ensuring equipment safety in high current and pressure situations.

How often should Eaton blowout assemblies be maintained?

Eaton blowout assemblies should be regularly maintained and tested to ensure smooth working and safety of the equipment against overpressure conditions.

Where are Eaton blowout assemblies used?

Eaton blowout assemblies are typically used in industries dealing with high-pressure and heavy load conditions, such as oil & gas, mining and construction.
