Eaton I/O cards must be installed in a suitable I/O rack or enclosure and connected to the control system & the automation equipment. Once installed, these I/Os cards can be programmed to perform various tasks like reading input signals, performing calculations and generating output signals.
Digital I/O cards handle input and output signals that are either on or off, represented by a voltage of 0V or 24V. Analog I/O cards, on the other hand, handle input and output signals that can take on a range of different values (0V to 10V or -10V to 10V).
Eaton 9000X Series I/O cards are UL-listed.
