These V-belts feature heavy-duty crosswise tensile cords to establish a permanent connection between individual belts. Raptor Supplies offers a wide range of heat-resistive and static conductive V-belts from Dayton, Fenner Drives, Gates, Ingersoll-Rand and Speedaire. These V-belts are designed to facilitate power transmission from engine to different components, such as air conditioning compressors, water pumps, fans, power steering systems and alternators. They feature cogged construction to easily flex around the drive sheaves and raw-edge design for aggressive gripping with less belt slippage. They are made up of rubber with fibres embedded in it for high strength and also contain load-bearing cords (or tension members) to maximise the load-bearing capacity of the belt. The advantage of having V shape is that it allows the belt to fit securely in the pulley while also avoiding side drift and preventing the belt from turning over. These belts do not require lubrication and can dampen vibration between the driving and the driven machines. We also offer banded V-belts featuring multiple grooves to replace single V-belts in heavy-duty applications where extreme shock loads with inconsistent load tension are present.
