Also known as Allen head screws, they are turned using a hexagonal key for Allen key engagement. Their torque specifications can be much higher than those of recessed / slotted fasteners. Socket head cap screws are ideal for fixing or clamping removable parts or sheets in machine assemblies. They are also widely used in applications with insufficient clearance to use a fastener with an external hexagon head.
