How do you use Irwin straight screw extractor?

Drill a hole in the fastener or threaded part that is to be removed. Drill deep enough to gain grip by the extractor without bottoming out.Use a left-handed drill bit for best results. Insert the extractor and turn it with a drive tool or wrench.

How to prevent thread stripping?

Use a bit of the correct size.Keep the driver perpendicular to the screw head.Make sure that the tip is fully seated into the screw head recess before starting the turning process.
