They utilise a crankshaft-driven cylinder & piston to compress the air at high pressures and deliver torque up to 2 HP. These compressors are available in electric, shaded pole, capacitor start, open, permanent magnet and PMDC motor variants for prolonged life, having an oil-less or a rocking piston vacuum pump design.
