HHex and torx key sets are used for driving bolts and screws with a hexagonal or six-pointed, star-like sockets. Raptor Supplies offers a wide variety of these hex and torx key sets from brands like Proto, Westward, Wright Tool and Wiha. These key sets fit into the head of an in-hex bolt instead of fitting around it, enabling them to fit into compact areas with minimum workpiece clearance. They provide a more secure grip on the fastener head for better torque transfer (as compared to Phillips or slotted head fasteners) and prevent slipping & damaging of the screwhead or adjacent surfaces. Selected models come with chrome plated & black phosphate finish for minimum light reflection and maximum wear resistance. Choose from a wide range of hex and Torx key sets, with blades made of beryllium copper alloy or alloy / chrome-vanadium / stainless steel, on Raptor Supplies.
T-shaped hex key sets (unlike L-shaped keys) feature one long arm with a drive tip at the end, along with a handle for delivering more torque when rotating fasteners.
Rotating a long end handle keys deliver more torque on the fastener, as compared to using short end handle keys.
