Norton Abrasives high-performance disc backup pads are used for sanding, grinding, polishing and surface preparation applications. These discs help equally distribute the pressure and also facilitate quick disc attachment, removal, and re-attachment. Choose from a broad range of these disc backup pads available in 1/2 and 1/4 inch thicknesses.

Norton Abrasives triangular Speed-Lok backup pads are designed for grinding, sanding, surface preparation and polishing applications. They are compatible with brand's AVOS fiber discs & Bear-Tex nonwoven discs and feature fiberglass-reinforced, plastic construction for resistance to chemicals, impact & water, thereby ensuring durability. These pads support discs to evenly distribute grinding pressures to the workpieces and feature see-thru design offering interrupted cuts to minimise the applied heat up to 30% over standard discs. The configured scooped holes enable air flow to pull swarf away from operational zones for extended life and can be used at 5 to 15 degrees angle for gouging-free & full utilisation of the discs. Choose from a broad range of these backup pads, available in 4.5 and 5 inch diameters.

Norton Abrasives small discs are used with quick-change mandrels on handheld pneumatic drills & grinders in stock removal, deburring and weld bending applications. They feature aluminium oxide or zirconia alumina material for maximum bending, high impact strength & excellent initial cut rates and have strong X & Y-weight, cotton backing construction for extended life & minimum edge wear. These discs offer extra coarse, medium & coarse grades for sharp finishing and are available in brown, green & blue colours.

Norton Abrasives medium density disc backup pads support & secure accessories such as mini, angle or die grinders, in polishing and sanding applications. They feature foam or rubber construction to provide moisture resistance or excellent stability on slippery surfaces, respectively. They have hook-and-loop or TR roll on / off face mounting style fasteners for firm anchoring of discs. Selected models have threaded arbor hole back mounting to keep the saw teeth from moving. These pads are available in operating speeds of 8000, 10000 & 20000 rpm.

Norton Abrasives medium density backing pads for grinding, sanding, surface preparation & polishing applications. They feature urethane foam construction to enhance durability & flexibility and have chamfered pad edges for elimination of sharp edges. These yellow-coloured pads are equipped with long tapered, flexible edges for coarse to medium grit disc sanding. Further, they have standard hole patterns (selected models) to assist vacuum sanding and have hook & loop face design for shock resistance. The pads support discs to evenly distribute the pressure on the surfaces and the fiberglass backing plates with threaded shanks to provide additional strength & minimise heat-resistance.
