FAQ′s

Q. How to install Eaton BR4242B400R load center?

A.

  • Remove the knockouts needed to install cable clamps or conduits.
  • To fasten the enclosure to the wall, align and level it with removable nails or screws inserted through keyholes at the top and bottom.
  • Place the enclosure between the studs.
  • Both sides of the enclosure are provided with 3/8-inch (17.1 mm) and 1/2-inch (12.7 mm) drywall scribe markings to aid when flush mounting.
  • Oval knockouts are provided on each side of the enclosure for mounting. Remove the knockout and insert a nail or screw through the oval opening.
  • Connect the main and neutral wires. Torque the wire pressure screws to the value indicated on the main label on the inside of the door.
  • Install BR branch circuit breakers by sliding the breaker's foot under the back pan rail and pushing the breaker onto the bus stab.
  • Connect the branch circuit wire to the circuit breaker's load end. Tighten the wire pressure screw to the torque value listed on the load centre enclosure.
  • Remove only the twist-outs that correspond to the corresponding breaker positions. Twist-outs can be removed by striking with a screwdriver and twisting back & forth with pliers.
  • The inner cover can be adjusted to fit snugly against breakers for flush mounting. Turn the two adjusting screws counter-clockwise to move the cover inward. Alternately, adjust each screw until the desired fit is achieved.
