Parker PSG Series combination moisture and liquid indicators are designed to indicate the presence of unwanted moisture and liquid while servicing refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. The excessive moisture may lead to problems, such as hydrolysis of lubricants, corrosion of metals, copper plating, the chemical change in the motor insulation of hermetic compressors and ice formation at meeting devices. These indicators are made of porous filter papers that are sensitive to moisture and changes colour (blue for dry; pink for wet refrigerant) at moisture level above the safe operating range. They also have an extra-large clear sight glass for monitoring the level of refrigerant in the liquid line to feed expansion devices.
