Working Mechanism
- The thermal trip mechanism consists of a bimetallic strip that expands when heated, detecting when the current flow is too high.
- When the temperature of the bimetallic strip reaches a certain threshold, it bends and triggers the circuit breaker to open, thereby interrupting the current flow.
- The magnetic trip uses an electromagnetic coil that detects when there is a sudden surge in current, which occurs during a short circuit.
- When the current reaches the set limit, the magnetic trip triggers the circuit breaker to open the contacts and stop the flow.
Features
- These units feature a moulded case composed of durable and flame-resistant material, providing excellent insulation and mechanical protection.
- They are equipped with an adjustable thermal & magnetic trip mechanism which monitors the electrical current flowing through the circuit and trips the breaker if the current exceeds the set limit.
- They are available in three or four-pole configurations with interrupting capacities of 40kA at 415VAC, 35kA at 480VAC and 25kA at 600VAC, respectively
- These F-frame circuit breakers are suitable for reverse feed applications and integrated with both line and load terminals for quick installations.
