About Master Appliance

The company's product catalogue includes heat guns, plastic welding kits, butane tools, heat shrink tubing and crimp tools. Master Appliance butane torch is ideal for soldering, plumbing, brazing and heat shrinking applications. It features a built-in self-igniting system with a safety lock and an adjustable board or pinpoint flame. The brand's heat guns are widely used for stripping paints, activating adhesives, bending plastics, thawing frozen pipes and removing dents. These heavy-duty Master Appliance heat guns can emit hot air streams of up to 1000 degrees Fahrenheit and are available in different voltages, temperature ranges and motor types.

Things To Consider

Cross-Reference Alternatives

Master Appliance MPNs cross individual references to the equivalent American Beauty and 3M model numbers for soldering, wire connectors and crimping tools. So, if you're looking for a competitor item that is either out of stock or obsolete, chances are Raptor Supplies has the equivalent Master Appliance products available.

Shipping

These Master Appliance products range from small to large sizes. They may require careful packaging as some items might get damaged while shipping. Hence, these Master Appliance items are delivered by courier shipment and air freight for minimum downtime.

Master Appliance Competitive Advantages

Ultratip Technology

Ultratip is a long-lasting, oxygen-free, copper-based, iron and chrome-plated soldering tip with a built-in catalyst, tinned with free solder to deliver high-quality soldering than standard brass-based tips. The higher tin content in standard tips erodes the tip's iron plating faster, while the thicker iron and chrome plating provides higher thermal conductivity and significantly improves the tip life. Ultratorch heat tools having Ultratip technology are perfect for use with lead-free solders, offering greater manufacturing yields and increasing productivity.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the purpose of a soldering iron?

Master Appliance soldering iron passes heat through a thermally conductive material to melt the solder and join two things, such as wires, together. It is powered by butane gas which can be inserted into the soldering iron by itself. It also features a plastic cap that keeps the soldering iron from dings and bumps.

How to refill the butane torch?

  • First, ensure that the torch is empty by engaging the mechanism and turning it on. If it doesn't fire means the torch is empty or broken. The second way is to look at the fill line by moving it side to side to determine if butane is present in the tool or not.
  • Remove air from the torch by holding the torch upside down so that the butane becomes heavier than the air and goes to the bottom of the torch. Take a knife or anything sharp and press the refill valve that lets the air out.
  • Now place the butane bottle upside down on the refill valve and press down on the can towards the torch until butane spits out of a pro tip.
  • Wait for a few seconds, then with a knife, press the valve. If butane comes out that means the torch is full but if air comes out that means more butane can be filled in.
  • Let the torch rest for a minute or two to let the butane settle down and then test by pressing the torch knob.

What are permanent magnet motors used for?

Permanent magnet motors deliver more flux for their compact size than the magnetic energy and torque produced by an equivalent induction motor.
