Flow Control ValvesView all

  • Pneumatic Globe Control Valves

Spring-return valves suitable for use in bottle-washing machineries, plating tanks & induction furnaces. Feature a high-thrust, compact actuator to positively position plug in response to the control signal and a bolted diaphragm joint for high-pressure tightness

About Spence

The brand's extensive product line includes control valves, direct-operated valves, regulators, safety relief valves, strainers, piping specialities, noise suppressors, insulating jackets and desuperheaters. Spence D50 Series pressure-reducing valves are self-acting control valves, designed for use in the water, steam, oil & gas industries to reduce any excess pressure in a system. These units automatically adjust the valve opening and adjust the pressure to keep it constant during pressure fluctuation. They are made of cast iron and have a maximum pressure and temperature rating of 200 psig and 400 degrees F, respectively. The brand's control valves provide great flow capacity and high-pressure control in HVAC systems, heating ducts, induction furnaces, heat exchangers and plating tanks.

Things To Consider

Cross-Reference Alternatives

Spence Valves MPNs cross individual references to the equivalent Vulcan Hart and Watts model numbers for pumps. So, if you're looking for a competitor item that is either out of stock or obsolete, chances are Raptor Supplies has the equivalent Spence products available.

Shipping

These Spence products range from small to large sizes. They may require careful packaging as some items might get damaged while shipping. Hence, the brand's items are delivered by courier shipment and air freight for minimum downtime.

Spence Competitive Advantages

Type E Valve

Spence Type E valves are pilot-operated and have a single-seat design featuring compact construction, balanced metal, flexible diaphragms and the main spring to automatically stop liquid or gas flow at a pressure set point, maintaining safe pressure levels. They come with a 4A bleed port that restricts the flow and pressure built under the diaphragm and a three-valve by-pass to facilitate inspection without interrupting services. The pilot can be mounted on either side of the main valve by using a 1/4 inch nipple and union (provided with the assembly) which easily connects the diaphragm chamber to the desired point of pressure control. They are capable of withstanding a maximum pressure and temperature rating of 600 psig and 600 degrees F, respectively.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are thermowells used for?

Thermowells are designed to guard temperature sensors like thermocouples, thermistors and bimetal thermometers against excessive pressure, velocity and corrosion.

What are the advantages of epoxy coating?

Epoxy coating is composed of an epoxy resin and a polyamine hardener. It is used on the metal surface to prevent the material from corrosion and provide shock resistance. It is easy to clean and maintain.

What is a temperature control valve?

A temperature control valve ensures that excessive heat does not lead to leaking or other damage. It reduces maintenance and also eliminates the possibility of injury due to steam leaks.
